Contactdag EU Advanced Fermentation Conference
Registration is now open for the EU Advanced Fermentation Conference on Monday 9 February 2026 in Brussels!
The Commission is organising this conference to connect stakeholders, foster collaboration and promote knowledge exchange, after acknowledging advanced fermentation in both the Life Sciences Strategy (July 2025) and the Bioeconomy Strategy (November 2025). Bringing together industry, researchers, investors, policymakers and other stakeholders, the conference will explore topics such as scaling up production, accessing finance and navigating regulatory frameworks.
What to expect:
- Morning: Panel discussions on research, scaling, financing, regulatory frameworks and support for SMEs
- Afternoon: Sector-specific sessions on textiles, food, and health applications
- After each session: An interactive Q&A part, allowing you to share your remarks or questions (only for in-person attendance)
- Throughout the day: Networking opportunities during the welcome coffee, the complimentary lunch, the afternoon coffee break, and drinks
📍 Important: In-person places at the venue are limited and will be confirmed separately days after the registration deadline. If we cannot offer you a seat in Brussels, you will be able to follow the full conference via livestream.
