In the transition to a more bio-based economy and the pursuit of a sustainable agri-food chain, the better utilization of crop by-products is an important avenue. The use of those streams for new, high-quality applications via innovative techniques contributes to closing the cycles and, in the long term, to better profitability of the companies involved. These are the objectives of the European CichOpt project, which runs until March 2021.
